Anjali Waghmare, defence lawyer in the Mumbai terror attacks case, will fight the case for Mohammad Ajmal Amir ‘Kasab’ after the Special Sessions Court here ordered a security cover for her. The court’s decision to provide security to Ms. Waghmare comes a day after a mob of Shiv Sainiks attacked her house and pressured her to withdraw from the case.
Mistake 1 - Treating Kasab like an ordinary criminal and having him go through the legal system like any other Indian national accused of any ordinary crime.
Mistake 2 - Shiv Sainiks attacking the lawyer asssigned to defend Ajmal Kasab. Did Anjali Waghmare volunteer? No, she didnt. If Kasab doesnt get adequate legal representation, his conviction might not happen in the light of inadequate legal representation for him. Just let the lady do her work and lets take this to its logical conclusion. Hopefully Kasab will hang (assuming the Congress dont come into power again).
Note - If the anti national Congress comes back to power again, maybe Kasab will be given Indian citizenship and a Congress ticket to contest the elections form Mumbai. After all he has made a "big" impact there already.
